About Alana Roy
I am a Dr in Psychology (PhD), Mental Health Social Worker, Counsellor, Advocate, Researcher, Lecturer, Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and I have a Diploma of Auslan Sign Language.
I am also a mother, a wife, traveller, lover of music and animals.
Over the last 13 years I have worked and remain active in a range of settings including sexual assault, domestic violence, suicide prevention, schools, disability, mental health services, and the Deaf and Deafblind community.
I work with children, youth and adults. It is an absolute honour to support people throughout life’s various stages and transitions.
In more recent years I have developed a personal and professional passion for plant medicines and psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. Please refer to Mind Medicine Australia for more information.
I utilise a range of therapies so that I can meet and respond to each person on their unique and deeply personal journey.
Therapies include; emotion focused, cognitive behavioural, EMDR, psychoeducation, sound sessions, mindfulness and meditation and psychedelic integration support services.
